Introducing BeoSystem 3
The highly advanced, versatile ‘stage manager’ for your personal home theatre. Not only is it the most sophisticated picture engine on the market today, it is also modular and flexible, giving you the possibility to continually upgrade your home theater. For use in advanced setups, BeoSystem 3 is capable of simultaneously controlling both a flat screen monitor, such as BeoVision 4, and a projector. If you’re planning a home theater, the first thing you need is BeoSystem 3.
All the right connections
You can connect almost any source to BeoSystem 3: it will play most formats you can think of, and your Beo 4 remote control will most likely be able to control it. There are more than 70 connections on the front, hidden behind sturdy front plates. In goes HDMI, Cable, Satellite, High-Definition DVD, Hard Disc Recorders, Surround Sound, content streamed over Broadband, game consoles, digital cameras, MP3-players, and out comes Dolby Digital 5.1, and 6.1/7.1 Ex, DTS 5.1, DTS ES Matrix/Discrete 6.1 or Dolby Pro Logic IIx. Digital processors adjust the picture according to both the source and the screen connected.
Put your BeoVision 4 and your projection screen on different walls and still enjoy perfect surround sound. BeoSystem 3 will turn the sound around for you to set the perfect stage. The built-in "Home Cinema Control Module" completes the experience, adding advanced control over lighting, curtains and projectors.
Controls up to 12 speakers
The extensive socket panel and the intelligent surround sound processor in BeoSystem 3 make it possible to drive two sound setups in the same room. With BeoSystem 3 you can rotate the sound stage and change the roles of the individual speakers, so you don’t have to make two separate loudspeaker setups. You can now enjoy a true cinematic sound experience based on a choice of up to 10 active loudspeakers from the BeoLab range and two subwoofers at the same time.
Easy access meets great looks
Hang BeoSystem 3 on the wall or place it inside our range of specially designed cabinets. Designed to match the Bang & Olufsen products when it comes to choice of materials and quality of construction, the storage system is available in two different sizes and with a variety of finishes for the doors. The body of the cabinets has the same black soft-touch rubber finish that many of our video and audio systems have, and you can choose between toned-glass, brushed aluminium, or a high-gloss white or black finish for the cabinet doors.
The new and innovative way of placing all cable connections at the front ensures direct access to the connection panel and gathers all the cables together at the back. All permanent cable connections are found behind the black snap-on cover. Just above the frame, the temporary connections (camcorder, card reader, headphones, laptop, camera etc.) can be accessed easily behind the slim aluminium cover.
All digital - beyond high definition
Whatever source you choose for your home theatre enjoyment, BeoSystem 3 will analyse and optimise all incoming signals and deliver the best possible sound and picture to your BeoVision screens, projector(s) and loudspeakers. Continuous analysis and adjustment of the incoming signals result in precisely defined images. Using Automatic Picture Control, BeoSystem 3 measures the effects of ambient light in the room and adjusts contrast and brightness accordingly. BeoSystem 3 is a truly global TV platform that can handle almost any signal out there, including HDTV, DVB-T and DVB-S.
