Create or edit N.MUSIC, N.RADIO or PHOTO playlists

You can place your favourite tracks, radio stations or photos/video clips in Playlists, so you do not have to open groups repeatedly to listen to a series of tracks, radio stations or view certain photos/video clips. You can also edit these Playlists at any time. Furthermore, you can drag music tracks or photos/video clips directly from BeoPlayer/BeoPort and drop them into external programs. Please note that creating a Playlist does not occupy additional space on your PC, as it is only an indication of the playback order and not an extra copy of the music files or photos/video clips.

You can use an ordinary image processor to work on your photos, e.g. trim, resize, sharpen.

Select your source; N.MUSIC, N.RADIO or PHOTO…

  • Move the cursor over to the left side of the screen and click the triangular tab once. The current view appears.
  • Click 'COPY' and then clik and hold 'NEW PLAYLIST', select the type of Playlist you want; 'BeoPlayer/BeoPort' (a local Playlist only available on your computer), BeoMedia 1 (a playlist available via BeoMedia 1), and BeoPlayer/BeoPort & BeoMedia 1 (a playlist available via BeoMedia 1 and on your computer, even when it is not connected to the network). You can change the Playlist type at any time. Refer to 'Copy music' for further instructions.
  • To enter a name for the new Playlist or rename an existing Playlist, move the cursor to the Playlist, click the right mouse button and choose the option 'RENAME', type the new name on your keyboard. Press ENTER when done.
  • With the mouse, click and drag tracks, stations or photos/videoclips from the groups or folders to your Playlist.
  • You can select and move more than one track, station or photo/video clip at a time. If you hold down the SHIFT key, you can select a series of tracks, stations or photos/video clips by clicking the first and last in the series. If you hold down the CTRL key instead, you can select several tracks, stations or photos/video clips by clicking each of them individually.
  • Click DONE to exit the Playlist, or click a track or station in the new Playlist to play it or a photo/video clip to view it.

The BeoPlayer/BeoPort waste basket

To remove a track, station or photo/video clip from a Playlist, click and drag it from the Playlist to the waste basket, or you can right-click the item in question and select the appropriate option. To delete a track, station or photo/video clip from the lists completely, you must delete it either from the pre-defined views (for example, Titels, Artists, Albums, Language, etc.), not just from the Playlist. This is done by right-clicking the item and selecting REMOVE.

Please note that tracks, stations or photos/vidoe clips deleted from the lists are not deleted from your PC! You can add previously deleted tracks, stations or photos at any time. Simply open the view called 'REMOVED' and right-click the item in question and select 'RESTORE'.

*If you wish to transfer tracks or photos/video clips listed in BeoPlayer/BeoPort into non-Bang & Olufsen software, such as a CD-burner program, you can (provided that the function is supported by the software). Simply drag and drop the tracks or photos into the external program. You can also copy and paste tracks. Please note that in both instances the tracks or photos/video clips are in effect copied, not moved.
