Turns on the source TV. On your PC you will receive the TV signal from your connected video source.

Beo4 remote control

If you have the BeoPort installed, you can use your Beo4 remote control to switch to PC operation. With Beo4, you can switch available link and main room sources on and off, search for specific channels, stations or tracks, and adjust volume.

NOTE: The US version of BeoPort does not allow for watching video sources from your main room on your PC screen.

Using your Beo4 remote control with BeoMedia 1

When BeoMedia 1 is connected to your television, you can call up the BeoMedia 1 sources on the television screen and navigate in your material.




Press LIST repeatedly until PC (V.AUX or V.TAPE2)* is displayed. Then press GO to select BeoMedia 1 as your source

Use the arrow buttons on Beo4 to select the BeoMedia source, you wish to use, and press GO

Press the red button to call up a 'menu overlay' for the selected source. The menu overlay shows you the options you have with the selected source

Once the menu overlay is shown, press the number button; 2 on Beo4 to call up a brief operation guide on the television screen. The guide explains the options you have with each source.

When you know the functions behind the coloured buttons, you can use them without calling up the menu overlay on the screen. To use the functions behind the number buttons, press the red button first , immediately followed by the number button corresponding to the function you wish to activate.

*Which 'cue' in the Beo4 display activates BeoMedia 1 (PC, V.AUX or V.TAPE2) as your source, depends on the "Command" setting in the "System settings" menu, you can bring up from the "Configuration" menu.

Using your Beo4 remote control with BeoMedia in audio link rooms

In connected link rooms, you can listen to N.MUSIC and N.RADIO.



Press until the source N.RADIO or N.MUSIC appears in the Beo4 display and press GO
Press to pause playback
Press to resume playback
Press to step through the N.RADIO stations or N.MUSIC tracks
Press to step to the previous or next group
Press to play from 'Country' (N.RADIO) or 'Artist' (N.MUSIC) view
Press to play from 'Language' (N.RADIO) or 'Album' (N.MUSIC) view
Press to play from 'Genre' view
Press to play from 'Playlist' view
Audio masters that supports tag information (such as BeoSound 4) will show the tag information in the display about the current active N.Music track or N.Radio station.

Also when you operate N.Music and N.Radio, you get voice feedback when you switch between views and N.Radio stations. You can deactivate this function via the BeoMedia 1 Configuration menu:

To bring up the "Configuration" menu:

• Press LIST repeatedly until PC (V.AUX or V.TAPE2) is shown in the Beo4 display, then press GO.

• Press the red button to bring up the menu overlay for BeoMedia 1.

• Press 9 to bring up the "Configuration" menu.

• Use the arrow buttons to select the "Settings" menu and press GO.

The LIGHT button turns on connected light sources, if you also have a controller.
The RADIO button switches to radio.
Press the DTV button to receive Satellite TV from a connected video source.
Press DVD to receive a DVD signal from a connected DVD player.
Press the CD button to listen to the sounds of an audio CD playing on a connected audio system.
Press the V.MEM button to watch video from a connected video player, on your PC screen.
This button is not for use with BeoPort.
Press A.MEM to play a cassette tape from a connected player.
The digit keys have context specific functions. They can for example be used to select a specific track number, a TV channel or a radio station.
The TEXT button is not for use with BeoPort.
The volume button regulates the volume for all sources.
Press EXIT to leave or close a function or source.
Press LIST to access additional sources in your Beo4 remote control, for example PC or N.MUSIC.
Press STOP to pause a function or a source. Then press GO to resume.
Press GO to activate a source, a function, or to restart after a pause.
Exits a source completely.
The coloured buttons have different functions according to the source you have selected. If you are watching a set-top box programme on your PC, the coloured buttons are used as indicated in the Set-top box Controller overlay, while in N.MUSIC they act as shortcut keys to the different views; genre, album, title and playlists.
Step to the next track in the current list or on a CD, step to another TV channel or radio station.
Step to the previous track in a list or on a CD, step to another TV channel or radio station.
