The new features include:
- First of all it enables you to record music convenient on a SD/MMC card reader and play the music on BeoSound 2. Click here for more details in a supplementary guide
- BeoSound 2 is updated, so it can generate playlists without being connected to the dockingstation
- The new firmware will also supports playback of up to 2 GB SD cards
Errors corrected in this version:
- BeoSound 2 is changed to not apply spaces after folder names in the playlist files

- With earlier versions of iTunes we had some problems using our MAC plugin. This problem has now been solved and all MAC users will automatically be able to use BeoSound 2 together with iTunes by upgrading iTunes to version 6.0.2
