In other words, MOTS is a music retrieval algorithm that measures music similarity on many different parameters such as sound, dynamics and rhythmic aspects – some of these parameters are audible, some are not. MOTS analyses the middle part of the song to get the most accurate result and then selects similar songs within a boundary.

Whenever you choose a song, it’s like planting a seed which MOTS grows into a flower garden of similar music. Unlike other services which simply use tag information such as genre and artist to create playlists, MOTS actually analyzes the music using parameters such as sound, timbre, rhythm and other acoustic attributes to select similar tracks and create a smooth journey through your collection.
