LED backlighting with local dimming

What's the secret behind the BeoVision 7-55’s ultra-deep blacks and vivid contrast? Highly efficient, super intense LED backlighting combined with local dimming that turns the LEDs under the dark areas of the screen off to prevent any transient light from coming through. It's a system that provides more dynamic contrast while using less energy than conventional screens.

Each model features an active sensor that constantly and precisely monitors any changes in ambient lighting and instantly adjusts the image accordingly. Automatic Picture Control synchronises image brightness and contrast to provide the very best viewing experience in any room light situation.
Anti-Reflection

The tinted, tempered anti-reflective glass that covers your BeoVision 7 series screen is your window to our unparalleled VisionClear signal reproduction. So we’ve invested exceptional efforts and energy to develop a series of sophisticated engineering processes that make sure it complements our picture
performance in every way.
We begin with an LCD panel that features a smooth, mirror-like glare surface to minimise the amount of ambient light reflected directly towards the viewer. This low-reflective panel is covered with meticulously engineered screen of 5mm grey glass that has endured a series of infinitely precise grinding, polishing and tempering processes. Following this, a multi-layer, thin-film anti-reflection coating is applied to both sides of the glass screen. Finally, a black masking is screenprinted on the rear of the glass to significantly reduce the effect of any incoming light and provide glare-free viewing, even in brightest daylight.
