BeoVision 8 - a sneak preview

BeoVision 8 is not available in our stores yet. It may take 3-4 months before it becomes widely available in the market. Until then you can have your questions answered here and in a special discussion thread in the Forum of our online Community.

Designed with a mission in mind
Designer David Lewis is taking on the global tyranny of the ordinary flat screen TV. BeoVision 8 is, as David Lewis says: “...a television designed to be used instead of being switched off in the living room for most of the day”. The design is casual and compact, but has enough volume for a superb integrated speaker.

Shaped to Sound Surprising
Though BeoVision 8 is flat, the sound is designed to be anything but. The small cabinet holds two 2" midrange / tweeter drivers and one 4" center bass loudspeaker driver. The resulting stereo sound stage offers depth and perspective beyond the flat sound you would normally expect from a flat television. To ensure the best possible bass performance, you can adjust the bass to match how your BeoVision 8 is placed: in a free-standing position, close to a wall or in a corner.

Changing light doesn't change the picture quality
A new high-glare surface and low reflection coating of the television panel ensures optimal picture quality. BeoVision 8 has both a high light transmission and a high black level, which is important to create the best picture possible on a LCD screen. Finally the automatic picture control dynamically changes the TV's black and white balance to suit the light conditions in your home.

Placement and Optional Extras
The product itself and the stand programme gives multiple placement options: directly on the floor, on a shelf, on cabinets, on a wall (high or low) or on floor stands. BeoVision 8 comes standard with and in-built set-top controller. Connect a selection of peripherals and enjoy full control with your Beo4 remote control. In case you want to use your BeoVision 8 in a BeoLink setup, we offer a separate system module for further home integration.
