Sales Manager, Expansion

Develop new markets
You will be part of Expansion which is the sales unit covering markets and countries outside of our traditional strongholds. These include South America, Middle East, Africa, Russia, EEU and parts of Asia and we look to further develop the potential in these countries. You will join a team of other sales managers covering the area and be assigned a specific market. The international aspect of this position involves 80-100 travel days per year.
Grow sales with existing and new partners
Your main mission will be to develop and grow sales to existing partners and to identify and establish relations with new partners. For existing partners, this involves increasing sales performance by assessing store performance as well as initiating improvement initiatives at store level. You ensure that all partners have a quarterly action plan and meet sales budget and - together with Marketing - you follow up on the plans/sales results and make sure that best practices are shared across markets.
At the same time, you identify new partner candidates and help qualify them for full partnership. You further help expand our business by supporting existing partners in identifying sales potential and location opportunities for Bang & Olufsen stores. This entails coordination with Sales Support and Technical Support to conduct training programs and implementation at store level.
Your main challenge will be to ensure that we work with the right partners in the developing markets. As such, you will have a hands-on executional and operational role where you drive the sales process. At the same time, you need to be able to adapt to - and be creative within - developing markets which can be very different from European markets.
Experienced Sales Manager with solid sales execution skills
- You have hands-on commercial execution skills and understanding of the daily operation of a retail store.
- You have 4-6 years’ experience with store or sales management.
- Experience with solution sales and coaching/training of store employees is also important.
As a person, you are independent and result-oriented and you master the execution of sales to perfection. In addition, you have excellent communication and networking skills and you are able to build and maintain professional relations with our partners, including occasionally making unpopular decisions. Finally, you are flexible and able to adapt to different cultures as well as to cope with an extensive travel program.
