Pioneers of aluminium design

BeoLab 5000 was one of the first Bang & Olufsen products to feature the use of aluminium. It marked the start of our long journey towards excellence in the art of aluminium treatment and design.

Acoustic perfection in sculpted form

The shape of BeoLab 12 was inspired by the mathematical curve of a sine wave. Smooth, flowing curves that taper at the edges give each speaker its elegant, slender profile along with outstanding acoustic performance.

The making of eternal beauty

Aluminium that bears the Bang & Olufsen name begins its journey with a demanding surface treatment process to achieve the exacting specifications demanded by the designer. This metal is then diamond cut and anodised, leaving a refined, yet robust and scratch-resistant surface. Beautiful, in every detail.

I FEEL EXTREMELY HONOURED TO COLLABORATE WITH BANG & OLUFSEN. I RESPECT THE MANNER IN WHICH THEY PAY HOMAGE TO TRADITION, WHILE CONTINUOUSLY PIONEERING INNOVATION

Miya Ando

Craftsmanship and tradition

Miya Ando was partly raised by swordsmiths-turned Buddhist priests in Okayama, Japan. Evidence of both her family’s sword making roots and Zen traditions can be found in Miya’s minimalist art.
