[‘hoo-ga’] Hygge is a quintessentially Danish concept. Though the word has no direct equivalent in English, it is best described as a deep sense of place and well-being; a feeling of contentment and peace with your immediate surroundings and a sense of friendship, intimacy, warmth, and most significantly, the joy of sharing a hygge space.
