Invisible sound in new places

BeoVox 1 is a discreet, in-wall, passive speaker – ideal for extending a Master Link system to new parts of your house or grounds. You can finally bring your Bang & Olufsen sound to singing in the shower cabin, grilling on the roof terrace or wherever your imagination takes you. Because the speaker has no built-in power amplifiers, it is perfect for bringing music to less favourable environments for electronics, such as bathroom and outdoor installations. Just make sure that your speakers are protected from direct water impact, such as shower jets or rainfall.

BeoLink Passive is the amplification and control unit for BeoVox 1. It comes with a discreet infrared eye for remote control of the sound with your Beo4 or the built-in buttons. With the advent of BeoLink Wireless 1, installation is simple and flexible, as you may not even need to run new cables from room to room.

BeoVox 1 is designed to be an invisible source of sound, but if your guests should spot it anyway, the oval shape and understated Bang & Olufsen logo on the side ensure a sophisticated look. The elegant hole pattern of the speaker grille extends almost to the edge, and while primarily optimised for sound, still maintains a harmonious and elegant expression. A special rotary painting technique ensures that no paint gets inside the holes, because when the holes are kept dark, the outlines of the speaker units are less visible though the grille.

The durable surface finish comes in white to suit most purposes. The matt white blends in perfectly with white plastered ceilings in the manner of recessed spotlights. It also looks great mounted in bright yacht interiors – Rod Stewart not mandatory!

Substantial sound from a discreet source

The acoustic design of BeoVox 1 draws on the experience Bang & Olufsen has gained in recent years working with car stereo. To produce a great sounding speaker with maximum placement flexibility, BeoVox 1 was conceived as a two-way speaker system, a superior design usually found only in square in-wall speakers. It features high quality 1-inch treble and 6.5-inch mid-range/bass units and electronics which are optimised for in-wall and in-ceiling use. The treble level can be adjusted using a small switch between the units to adapt the individual speaker to its placement, making sure that BeoVox 1 sounds great whether mounted high in a shop ceiling or close to the listening position in an outdoor kitchen arrangement. The grille is designed to exact acoustic specifications and a special painting technique assures that the performance is not compromised by paint residue obstructing the holes.
