The shape we gave it sounds just right
You may be surprised to learn that the little shelf underneath the screen is not intended as a resting place for the Beo4 remote control when BeoVision 8 is not on. In fact, the small cabinet holds the only speaker that is necessary to produce the clear and authoritative Bang & Olufsen TV sound. We recognise that even people who are not surround sound boffins appreciate good stereo sound from their television. The down-facing bass speaker provides a firm foundation for movies and music programmes, while the front units are tuned for human speech. If you enjoy modern, high-quality TV drama, you need speakers that reproduce speech as accurately and clearly as possible. Non-flat sound quality has finally come to the flat screen video display.

Why keep BeoVision 8 confined to one room? It can fulfil a role in any room in the house, or even when you move outside to the veranda. A new glare polarizer technology and low reflection coating of the television panel ensures optimal picture quality. BeoVision 8 has both a high light transmission and a high black level, which is important to create the best picture possible on a LCD screen. Finally the automatic picture control dynamically changes the black and white balance, so it works well even under difficult light conditions. Perfect for summer, when all the big sporting events roll around. As everything is integrated, the set is easy to move between the summer cottage and the guest room – or whatever your needs might be.
