SD card memory technology
Bang & Olufsen has equipped several of our audio products with an SD (Secure Digital) card reader. This means just one recordable media to all imaginable user situations! SD memory card technology gives our products a brand-new dimension – and revolutionises the way we have been enjoying our music up until now.Flash memory technology offers a means of storing music that has several advantages over hard disc drives, not least portability, lower power consumption, and greatly improved shock resistance. A tiny SD card reader makes it possible, as with the cassette tapes of yesteryear, to store your favourite music and take it with you wherever you go – to the beach, to a party or on holiday.
BeoSound 2 – personal music on the move
Bang & Olufsen’s digital music player lets you take music with you anywhere and offers a highly personal listening experience together with the A8 Earphones. BeoSound 2 supports SD cards up to 2 GB in size, which means approximately 200 songs recorded at a quality level where you cannot hear the difference from a CD.
BeoSound 3 – share portable music with others
BeoSound 3 lets you listen to FM radio and to music recorded on an SD card anywhere, indoors or outside – the superb battery life makes sure of that. BeoSound 3 supports SD cards up to 2 GB in size.
BeoSound 4 – record your music and take it with you
Bang & Olufsen’s newest audio system lets you record from a CD or the radio (FM or optional DAB) directly onto an SD card. BeoSound 4 records to the built-in SD card reader in a quality that the human ear cannot distinguish from CD quality, and supports SD cards up to 3 GB. The larger the flash card format, the slower the record and read times – therefore we recommend that you use a card of maximum 2 GB, and take your music with you on BeoSound 2 and BeoSound 3.
