In the eyes of Pedro Teixeira, Bang & Olufsen is one of the greatest brands in the world. Therefore it was a natural thing for him to bring a Bang & Olufsen flag with him, when he went mountain climbing in the Himalayas.
Pedro Teixeira and his girlfriend have climbed different mountains in Europe, and after reaching the summit of Mont Blanc, the couple started looking for new challenges. The choice fell on the Island Peak in the Himalayan region, because this climb proposes both altitude and technical climbing challenges.
- All together it provides the feeling of a real expedition, Pedro Teixeira explains.
But how did Bang & Olufsen come into the picture?
- I think Bang & Olufsen is one of the greatest brands on earth, so it was an ideal chance to display our brand on one of the highest and greatest peaks on earth. Taking the Bang & Olufsen flag was a part of the plans right from the beginning, when we started to prepare the adventure, says Pedro Teixeira.
- It was a fantastic experience to reach the summit, enjoy the amazing view and breathe in the thin clean air. It is one of those experiences that stay with you forever. Now we dream about climbing Mount Everest –all we need is time and a good sponsor, says Pedro Teixeira.

From the mountain village of Namche Bazaar (3.440 m) Pedro Teixeira inspects the stunning views of the Himalayan region and prepare for the next step towards the goal – Island Peak (6189m).
