Always connected to our Scandinavian roots

Since the very first products rolled out of Bang & Olufsen in 1925, wood has been a material of choice for us. It has been used for thousands of years as a construction and furniture material and to us it represents something warm and alive. It’s an organic and fresh opposite to metal, glass and plastic – and a natural way to apply a “furniture-feel” to our technology.

Versatility and strength

Wood has always been an important aspect of Nordic architecture and furniture design, and modern interest in new and innovative ways to use this precious living matter has never been greater. It adds an individual character, allows for exceptional versatility in shape and application, and provides inherent robustness and strength.

Sustainability at the core

As an environmentally responsible company, we aim to create long-lasting products. We work with high quality, natural materials, including a number of wood types like walnut, maple and oak. They all have their own distinct qualities and characteristics. Many of our products give you customisation options, allowing you to choose the exact wood type that suits you.
