ALUMINIUM: We have been experimenting with different surface treatments on aluminium for many years. There is a fine balance between presenting the application of a brushed affect as deliberate and controlled, giving Contrast its distinctive appearance.
A collaboration with Norm Architects Studio
Bang & Olufsen’s Contrast collection was created in collaboration with Danish design studio Norm Architects. Known for their portfolio of work across a range of interiors, products and more, Norm Architects regularly apply neutral colour palettes and use materials that have rich surface textures.

The fabric on Beoplay A9 and Beosound Edge
Hallingdal is the first fabric designed by Danish textile brand Kvadrat and it is made of wool and viscose. With Kvadrat we developed the right balance of loosening the fabric to deliver high acoustic performance while maintaining its rich texture.
