Privacy

At Bang & Olufsen, privacy is a core element of trust. We embed data protection principles into our product development, digital services, and business operations. All client-facing activities are reviewed by a dedicated Privacy Team to ensure compliance with global regulations, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We maintain clear privacy notices, enable user control over personal data , and ensure that requests for access or deletion are handled within regulatory time frames. Our approach is proactive, with privacy impact assessments and data minimisation practices integrated into our digital governance framework.

Data Ethics

Our Data Ethics Policy outlines how we work with data and the principles we adhere to, such as we work to avoid biased algorithms and that we do not sell data to third parties.

In addition to our Policy, we consider the 10 central societal values and principles in all relevant projects as recommended by the Danish Data Ethics Council. The 10 central societal values and principles are: welfare, dignity, privacy, equality, self-determination, fundamental freedoms, accountability, rule of law, transparency and security.

Artificial Intelligence & Digital Governance

As we integrate AI into our products and services, we are committed to ensuring its responsible and transparent use. Our AI governance framework includes principles of privacy-by-design, explainability, and human oversight. AI systems undergo risk assessments and are developed in alignment with our broader digital responsibility strategy. We are also exploring the use of AI in ways that enhance user experience while safeguarding against unintended consequences, ensuring that innovation is always balanced with accountability.
