Our Cradle to Cradle Certified® products
Today, nine Bang & Olufsen products are Cradle to Cradle Certified® at Bronze level. These products reflect our approach to applying design features that can support service, repair and disassembly, while taking a broader view of how products, components and materials are considered throughout their lifecycle. Through the Cradle to Cradle Certified® framework, we also work to better understand the materials used in our products and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Because great design is not only enduring in appearance. It is also about creating products that remain relevant and functional over time.
What is Cradle to Cradle Certified®?
Cradle to Cradle Certified® is a voluntary, third-party product certification based on the Cradle to Cradle design principles developed by William McDonough and Michael Braungart. For products certified under the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Product Standard (Full Scope), performance is assessed across five categories: material health, product circularity, clean air and climate protection, water and soil stewardship, and social fairness. In addition to Full Scope certification, products may be certified specifically under Cradle to Cradle Certified® Material Health or Cradle to Cradle Certified® Circularity.
We are proud to have introduced the consumer electronics industry's first Cradle to Cradle Certified® Full Scope Bronze product with the launch of Beosound Level. Yet our ambition goes beyond being first. The experience gained through this work continues to inform how we approach product development, from design features that can support service, repair and disassembly to a deeper understanding of the materials used in our products through the Cradle to Cradle Certified® framework.
