Packing no less than 2,500 watts per speaker, BeoLab 5 is built like a muscle car. Still, the real beauty lies in how gracefully it handles its massive strength. Superior but never aggressive – and always letting you know that there is plenty more in store, if you dare.
Move around a grand piano and the pianist’s tunes will stay with you. Thanks to our Acoustic Lens Technology, which was first introduced with this speaker, the same holds true for BeoLab 5. The 180-degree sound dispersion automatically ensures that you are always in the right place to enjoy your music.
The position of your speakers relative to your walls and furniture affects your listening experience. But don’t change a thing. BeoLab 5 analyses your surroundings digitally and optimises the performance accordingly.
Design

THE ONE AND ONLY

It doesn’t look like any other loudspeaker, and the design is undoubtedly one of the most recognised and daring ones of its kind. The application of high gloss aluminium finish adds the final touch needed for a grand finale.

RADICAL DESIGN

One look is all it takes to know that you are in for an extraordinary experience. The design of BeoLab 5 comes from the hand of the late David Lewis, who took performance design to a whole new level.

The conical shape allows for an enormous bass driver at the base while still maintaining a gracious appearance. The floating aluminium discs emphasise the 180-degree sound dispersion from the acoustic lens. Every detail and every surface serves a purpose.

ALUMINIUM

The method to achieve the high gloss aluminium surfaces was developed at our factory in Denmark. The silvery finish is consistent throughout our current line of BeoLab speakers and BeoVision TVs allowing you to mix and match your own ideal setup.

A PROUD TRADITION
In the late 1960's, designer Jacob Jensen introduced anodised aluminium to the first Bang & Olufsen products. Since then, his successor David Lewis as well as other Bang & Olufsen designers have continued to push the boundaries of what we can achieve with this magical material.
