The classic A1 designed by Cecilie Manz is unique in its category and now the remake comes in a material treatment never done before. A goal only be reached through the close relationship between designer and product development.

In Factory 5, our specialised facility in Denmark, Beosound A1 DUNE's gradient is created by slowly lowering and raising the alumunium shells by incremental degrees. A unique anodizing process invented by our experts.

As a result, every hand-made product has a truly unique gradient and no piece will be exactly the same.

Meticulous design & details

Inspired by nature

Beosound A1 is a highly portable speaker with loud and captivating rich sound, designed to be shared by everyone around – for hours on end. Fully dust and waterproof, Beosound A1 is primed for up to 18 hours of non-stop play. True360 omnidirectional sound makes this speaker the natural centre of attention, while the Multipoint feature lets two devices connect and control the tunes.

Small in a big way

Beosound A1 2nd gen

Cecilie Manz is the original designer of A1 and wanted it to be clear and uncomplicated: focus on functionality and aesthethics. The rounded design is rooted in practicality and the colours are inspired by the western coast of Denmark.

The research and design team worked with Cecilie in exploring how all senses – touch, sound, and look – can best be combined and accentuated. The end result: magic.
